FOLKSTYLE EDITION

Open to boys, girls, kids and college wrestlers. Folkstyle with 2–3 matches per wrestler.

FREESTYLE & FOLKSTYLE

Open to boys, girls, women and men. Freestyle depends on an appropriate opponent who agrees to compete.

Exclusively for boys and girls ages 5–12. Freestyle and Folkstyle, based on registration and matchups.

HOW THE FINAL ROUND WORKS

Not everyone qualifies for the championship round. Records matter, but overall performance matters too. Take risks, create action and compete strategically.

  • Wrestlers who finish 0–2 are eliminated.
  • Wrestlers finishing 1–1, 1–2 or 2–0 remain eligible.
  • Eligibility does not guarantee a Final Round match.
  • Wins, competition level, takedowns, big moves, intensity and overall performance are considered.
  • Only 12 championship matches will be selected—24 wrestlers total.
  • All selections and tournament decisions are final.

OFFICIAL RULES

  1. 01

    Weigh-ins will be completed while wearing a singlet or clothing.

  2. 02

    No foul language.

  3. 03

    Final Round competitors must wear a singlet or approved two-piece uniform. A singlet is not required during tournament rounds.

  4. 04

    Call someone out! If they accept, tournament entry is $15 per wrestler. Post the callout on Instagram and tag Gallardo Wrestling Academy.

  5. 05

    Coaches count as spectators. For the Kids Edition, parents also count as spectators. Spectator admission is $5.

  6. 06

    Celebrations are encouraged—bring energy and show personality!

  7. 07

    No fighting or unsportsmanlike behavior.

  8. 08

    High-level or experienced competitors may request to wrestle only in the Final Round Championships. Speak with Coach G for approval.

  9. 09

    Do not ask Coach G for pictures.
